Shiretoko Five Lakes are visited by many people from spring to autumn. During the winter, the roads are closed, the lake is frozen over, and the place is quiet.
You will also pass over a frozen lake, which will give you a different perspective than usual.

■ Participation Requirements ... 10 years old and older can walk about 3 km of snow-covered paths on their own.
(Pregnant women and those under the influence of alcohol are not permitted to attend.)
■ Walking distance ... approx. 3 km
■ Required Time ... approx. 4 hours 15 minutes (including travel between Utoro and Shiretoko Goko)
■ Meeting Place ... Accommodations, roadside stations, bus terminals, etc. in Utoro area

- This tour takes you to the Shiretoko Goko lakes via a road that is closed during the winter, so the gate opening and closing times are fixed. Therefore, time cannot be shortened or extended. Please take into consideration the physical fitness.
- Please be sure to bring emergency equipment in case of sudden changes in weather conditions.
- If a snow storm or heavy snow warning is issued for Shari Town at the time of departure, the tour will be cancelled and entry will not be permitted. In addition, there may be cases when the trail not available due to heavy snowfall up to the previous day, which prevents snow removal work from being completed in time. In the event that the weather permits, but the trails of the Shiretoko Five Lakes are not available, the alternative tour will be another place.
- In the event of extremely bad weather, we may decide to cancel the tour before departure. In such cases, no cancellation fee will be charged.
- There is no restroom on the way. Please make sure to use the restroom before the meeting time.
- Outdoor activities that deal with nature are based on self-responsibility.

If you cancel for your own reasons, cancellation fees will apply as follows:

- 7 days ago - The day before ... 50%
- On the day of the tour ... 100%
* If you contact us to cancel after our business hours (7:00 PM), it will be processed as the following day.
* No cancellation fee will be charged if the tour is cancelled before the start of the tour due to inclement weather.
